In town to go to the zoo. Decided to eat local. Great food and very friendly staff. When we asked for hot sauce we got not only several off the shelf selections but also a homemade version that was delicious. Recommend stopping by.

Not just because I'm there 1 day a week but must say our food is so good! Whether it's a chicken and cheese pastel, scrambled eggs with mozzarella cheese W/ pancakes home fries and sausage links, or lunch like chicken Parm it's really good. Plenty of regulars due to great service and food. To that clown John C, it's funny how inconsistent your time frame is of what you were told is. One review it said a couple days and another it was a week expired milk. Which lie are you gonna stick to buddy? It wasn't expired!! That jug for whatever reason did smell horrible so that was thrown out and the other ones were checked out to make sure they weren't smelling bad. You were apologized to more then once and I'm pretty sure at minimum weren't charged the drinks but I'm not fully sure. You even made a joke about how you didn't understand how one of your kids drank 3/4 of it without an issue! If you had an issue then you should have been a real man and said something when I checked on you more then once while eating or if it was charged said hey can you not charge my drinks since the kids had a bad experience with the drinks and I would have gladly done it for free as I am not perfect and may have simply forgot. Instead you choose to be a keyboard thug and write reviews in a bad way after I was extremely nice to you AND you were nice to my face. Very fake and petty on your part.

Go here for breakfast when I'm on that side of town. Waitress always remembers us and what we like even if it's been several months since our last visit. Good breakfast

Great food and service is very welcoming. I don't usually do this but I'd like to point out that the person who is complaining about the sour milk ...those were NOT my words you definitely twisted them buddy. I said the SELL BY Date had the prior date which means SELL BY not expiration. Sell by date if you ever purchased milk you'd know it's good up to 5 days after. You were apologized too many of times and you seemed fine. If you had an issue then, you should have spoken up and brought it to my attention but you were all nice to my face because I apologized more then once and switched the drinks out. I'm actually pretty sure you didn't get charged for one of the milks but if I didn't discount anything that's my bad for overlooking. You were treated well by everyone there. If I didnt handle it properly then you should have spoken to one of us then instead of waiting until you left to complain. I've been told by many I have the best customer service in ANY restaurant they go too....even very particular customers! I don't like doing stuff like this but I do not like liars neither! Anyone has the freedom to write what they like but please do not twist others words.

Newly reopened so they get a little beak on service which was a little slow. Parking good, breakfast all day. Pretty good food for the price. Lots of seats inside a clean, new, well lit room. We didn't have to wait. I think they will get better over time but right now it is a safe bet for breakfast.

Place is awesome, owners always on site excessively great staff, food is great prices are good , service is always quick, sounds like some of negative comments are friends or regulars off Depot st. That place is higher prices then places in Boston, and talk a out a wait !

I brought my children here for the first time today. The diner is bright and clean and we were asked to sit wherever we would like. We ordered breakfast which arrived quickly and with a smile. The food was delicious and the staff was helpful and kind. A very pleasant experience. We will be back!

For those gluten free (or not) this is s great spot for breakfast

Gluten Free menu and good standard items as well

My bacon and cheese GF omlette with toast and home fries tasted great. The pancakes and Belgium waffles for those dining with me (not GF) also looked great

JR's is a wonderful little spot. I am both a cook in a professional kitchen and a waitress, both at a mew restaurant, and I can tell you there are 100 reasons why a new place is understaffed for a Saturday breakfast. So my husband and i didn't go for a Saturday breakfast, we went on a Wednesday afternoon.

We were two of the maybe 6 people in the restaurant at 1 o'clock. I liked how bright and clean it was the moment we walked through the door. The menu is simple, with some Brazillian menu items sprinkled throughout. My husband sampled the linguica, which was SO good, and these little pastries filled with banana, and one with cheese. His favorote though was the Brazillian salad made of shredded chicken, carrots, raisins and crispy potato sticks on top. There were other things in it, i wish we had written it down. Our server was so sweet amd the cook helped bring the food over himself, always checking in to see how our food was. My friend got a basic breakfast of perfect over easy eggs, sausage links and toast. Her plate was mopped clean.

I ordered Irish eggs benedict. The poached eggs were also perfect and the hollandaise was DELICIOUS. Just the right amount of butter and lemony tartness.

We liked it so much we went back the next day before work. JR's is going to be in our regular breakfast and lunch rotation.

Jr's is a nice little family run breakfast and lunch spot right on the outskirts of Milford center. We have eaten there several times over the last year and have been really happy with everything. The lady the runs the place is really nice. She is from Brazil and if you ask her to can make you authentic Brazilian food.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. Ordered ham and cheese omelet with hash browns, toast and coffee. Young waiter was very pleasant and inquired about the quality of my food after received. Didn't have to ask for coffee refills. Food was fresh, hot, and had good flavor. Restaurant was clean and quiet. I would come back.

We read the poor reviews prior to stopping in to JR's and concluded that maybe this place was "hit or miss." We kept our expectations low but soon realized that low expectations were completely unnecessary.

The diner was quiet and we were immediately greeted by a friendly waiter and an adorable "junior waitress" that couldn't have been more than 6 or 7 years old. The restaurant is very clean and we seated ourselves at a window side table.

We visited on a Sunday around noon and had our choice of breakfast or lunch (they're open until 2). The menu is large and the food is what you'd expect at a diner - simple and "comfy."

Everything we ordered was homemade and absolutely made to order. The fruit bowl was filled with pieces of apple, kiwi, melon, grapes, strawberries and banana and had clearly been made just seconds before being brought to our table. My husband's egg whites were light and fluffy. Toast was perfectly brown and not over buttered. We both ordered shredded hash browns that were homemade and delicious. Even something as basic as my hot tea (a Lipton tea bag) was brought out in a mini tea pot which is, in my opinion, so much nicer than just a mug :)

We were so impressed with the food that we chatted with the owner for a few minutes. She clearly takes a lot of pride in making sure that everything is fresh and homemade. She had just finished making a pot of vegetable rice soup and brought out a small dish for us to sample. It was so delicious, we ordered some to go.

We live on the north shore but will definitely be sure to stop by again for a bite the next time we are in the area.

I am very particular about my breakfast and they got it perfectly!!!! My only complaints are there we're no extra napkins on the table and the covering on the seats looked a little worn. I will definitely be back

Two friends and myself had a leisurely breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. The prices are low, the breakfast food we had was excellent, and the service was very friendly. They take cards but for some reason they want you to tip in cash. All three of us felt we made a great choice on this holiday.

A gem in Milford. Home cooking, good prices and people. A can't miss stop when you want a good meal.
